Pure Best New Volunteer

As I wrap up the year I'm reminded that I need to share this 2009 item.

I am honored to have been the recipient of the Best New Volunteer Award at the Pure 107.8 FM Volunteer Awards for 2009. I have been volunteering at Pure since September, working primarily on the maintenance of their website, but latterly also doing a small radio project called Stockport International.

I'm hugely grateful to be part of the team at Pure. I couldn't ask to work with a nicer bunch of people.

I hope to share more about Stockport International soon. The project consists of small, 90-second-ish radio bits about expats living in Stockport and expats from Stockport around the world. As an expat in Stockport, it's a subject near and dear to my heart! I will post more details when the segments begin airing - they'll also be posted online in podcast form.
